Up for your consideration is this snowflake angel, named Crystal Winters. She could be left out all winter to help brighten those long, cold and snowy days ! Crystal loves snow, and as you can see, catching snowflakes ! She is approximately 7 1/2" tall and when standing on her snowflake box, approximately 10 1/2" high.
She is made from painted and aged muslin, has sealed blue eyes, blushing cheeks and an embroidered black nose. Her arms are wired and bendable and she has a rusty wire tail with a rusty bell. The wings are made from painted muslin and have been dusted with German glass glitter and mica flakes. The wings are attached with a rusty safety pin. The halo is made from a white irridescent chenille stem with Double-Glo vintage tinsel garland ( an antique store find ) wrapped around it.
Crystal's dress is made from a warm winter blue brushed cotton with an overlay of a sheer shimmery white snowflake fabric. Vintage tinsel garland ( that was made in the U S A ) is handstitched to the neckline of the dress. A vintage rhinestone button is adorning her bodice.
She is holding a crocheted snowflake that has been dusted with German glass glitter and mica flakes.
Crystal is standing on a paper mache box that I have painted ( inside and out ) a winter blue and stenciled with a snowflake design and antiqued. It is sprayed with matte sealer. Tucked inside the box are a couple prim surprises. !
This set is of my own design, made with lots of tender loving care, attention to detail and handstitching. Crystal is signed and dated, comes from a smoke free home, and will be carefully packaged with a prim surprise tucked inside along with the prim surprises that are tucked inside the snowflake box.
